Utopia is a name for an ideal community or society, taken from the title of a book written in 1516 by Sir Thomas More describing a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean, possessing a seemingly perfect socio-politico-legal system. The term has been used to describe both intentional communities that attempted to create an ideal society, and fictional societies portrayed inliterature. "Utopia" is sometimes used pejoratively, in reference to an unrealistic ideal that is impossible to achieve, and has spawned other concepts, most prominently dystopia. And here I am full of it and thats what I beleive is the mother of all the inventions and a fodder for me. I got this word from my friend Ranjeet Mukherjee on the topic of single religion across the world in 1998 yes I was taken aback but nothing is impossible so many things have happened and many are to follow.
In the present context of our survival so many basic foundation of life has become a dream that I am forced to come up with this blog.
I remember that this term was coined by him near Landour Graveyard on Sister Bazaar...and you have always liked this word since then.....
